1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing yakmesh.dev or utilizing YAKMESH software, you agree to be bound by these Terms. YAKMESH is a project of PeerQuanta, based in San Angelo, Texas.

2. Intellectual Property & Trademark

The name YAKMESH, the "Climbing Yak" emblem, the tagline "Sturdy & Secure," and all associated logos are protected trademarks.

  • You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use YAKMESH software under the AGPL-3.0 License.
  • Documentation may be used for development purposes.
  • Any redistribution of YAKMESH software must comply with our Trademark Usage Policy.

3. Software Provided "As-Is"

YAKMESH involves experimental technologies, including Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and hardware-based precision timing.

  • No Warranty: Software is provided "AS-IS." We do not guarantee that quantum-resistant protocols are immune to future cryptographic breakthroughs.
  • Hardware Compatibility: Certain features (atomic timing synchronization) require compatible PCIe hardware provided by the user.
  • Experimental Status: YAKMESH is under active development. APIs and protocols may change between versions.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use YAKMESH for:

  • Unauthorized network intrusion or attacks
  • Distribution of malware or malicious code
  • Any illegal activities under applicable law
  • Impersonating official YAKMESH nodes or services

We reserve the right to document known malicious node signatures in our security advisories.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, YAKMESH, PeerQuanta, and its contributors shall not be liable for any data loss, financial loss (including digital assets), system downtime, or hardware damage resulting from the use of our software.

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Tom Green County, Texas.
